From downtown Hartford

IT support with clear ownership of who handles what.

Hartford businesses rarely need more technology. They need someone accountable for the technology they already have: who answers when a laptop fails, who checks that last night’s backup ran, and who plans the next office move or software change. That is the work EVERNET does for businesses across Greater Hartford and Connecticut.

Who we work with

Small and midsize businesses and professional firms, with fully managed IT for teams that have no IT staff and co-managed IT for those that do. Law firms, financial and insurance businesses, healthcare practices and nonprofits bring obligations we build the security essentials around.

What a managed agreement covers

Day-to-day employee support, Microsoft 365 administration, hosted phone service, backup and disaster recovery, patch management, device monitoring and vCIO planning. Your agreement sets out the systems we manage, support coverage and response commitments.

If you already have IT staff

Your team keeps the duties it wants to keep. EVERNET adds capacity, monitoring and the specialist work that is hard to staff in-house, with responsibilities written down so nothing is assumed on either side.

See how this applies to law firms, healthcare organizations and biotech and life sciences companies. For current services and rates, explore pricing, or read more about managed IT and co-managed IT.

Doing business in Hartford

Hartford is a small city with a large weekday workforce. The 2020 Census counted 121,054 residents, but downtown offices fill each morning with insurance, banking, legal and state government staff commuting on I-84 and I-91. Connecticut has the highest concentration of insurance employees in the nation, and Hartford is where much of that industry grew up.

For managed IT, that profile makes hybrid work the default. Staff split time between a downtown office and home in West Hartford, Glastonbury or Enfield, and they need the same secure access, the same Microsoft 365 setup and support that does not depend on someone being in the building. When something does need hands, our office at 100 Pearl Street is in the middle of the downtown business district. We also plan for the weather: Tropical Storm Isaias left hundreds of thousands of Connecticut customers without power in August 2020, and a firm that can keep working from cloud systems loses far less time. See managed support.

What to work through.

Where Hartford businesses usually start.

Help desk and device support

Day-to-day support for employees, Microsoft 365 administration and device setup, with request channels and response commitments written into your agreement.

Cybersecurity essentials

Endpoint protection, email threat protection, multifactor authentication, patch management and security awareness training, with device health monitored 24/7/365.

Backup and disaster recovery

Workstation and data backup with restore tests, so an outage or ransomware event is a recovery rather than a rebuild.

Co-managed IT with your internal team

EVERNET fills the gaps alongside an internal IT person or team, with responsibilities for each side written down.

Technology planning (vCIO)

Business reviews, budgeting and vendor coordination so technology decisions are made with data rather than in a crisis.

Office moves, growth and change

New hires, new locations, phone systems and software changes handled as scoped projects alongside the managed agreement.

It is difficult to put into a review just how much we have valued this partnership. They have gone far beyond being a vendor to the Tarrant County Bar Association — they have become genuine supporters of our organization and the work we do. They have worked with us on everything from building our public-facing legal help website to guiding us through a complete rebranding and logo redesign. With every project, they take the time to understand our organization, our members, our mission, and what we are actually trying to accomplish rather than simply delivering a product. But what has impressed me most is how invested they have become in our success. They show up. They attend our events. They celebrate our wins. They bring us new ideas and look for ways they can help. When we work with them, it truly feels like we have another team in our corner. Our Bar Association is better because of this relationship, and I don't say that lightly. They have consistently gone above and beyond for us, and I am incredibly grateful for the creativity, responsiveness, enthusiasm, and genuine care they bring to everything they do. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Paul has always been our go-to, for well over a decade. He is prompt and knowledgeable, and it's really nice having a dedicated person to go to, although we know there is a team at Evernet that we can lean on when needed.

EVERNET has played a pivotal role in our business growth. They have been a fantastic partner over the last year, doing everything from rebuilding our website to managing our IT difficulties to improving our internal processes. They took care of a lot of the headaches that come with small business ownership, which allowed me to focus on doing the work I love and getting more clients through the door. If your business needs help in marketing, IT, or security, I cannot recommend them enough.
