Southeastern Connecticut
Managed IT for the shoreline and the Thames.
Southeastern Connecticut runs on a mix you do not find elsewhere in the state: defense and marine contractors around Groton and the submarine base, healthcare and professional firms in New London and Norwich, hospitality around the casinos and Mystic, and manufacturers up the Thames. Contractors in that supply chain increasingly need documented cybersecurity, and small firms need someone accountable for their technology. EVERNET provides both from Hartford.
Who we work with
Professional practices, healthcare and dental offices, manufacturers and defense-supply-chain contractors, hospitality and nonprofits in Norwich, New London, Groton, Mystic, Waterford and the surrounding towns.
What a managed agreement covers
Day-to-day employee support, Microsoft 365 administration, hosted phone service, backup and disaster recovery, patch management, 24/7/365 device monitoring, password management, vendor management and vCIO planning.
Compliance preparation for contractors
Preparation support for industry compliance requirements, including the documentation and controls defense-related customers ask their suppliers for. EVERNET prepares and supports; formal certification comes from accredited third parties.
Contractors should also read about compliance preparation. See IT support and managed IT in Connecticut, cybersecurity in Connecticut, pricing and co-managed IT.
Doing business in Norwich and New London
Southeastern Connecticut’s economy is anchored on the Thames River. Electric Boat, the largest employer in the region according to the eastern Connecticut economic development district, builds submarines in Groton and holds Columbia-class contracts that run into the 2040s, across the river from New London. The Navy’s Submarine Base New London sits upriver. New London’s State Pier was rebuilt with a $235 million investment as a heavy-lift staging area for offshore wind, and Norwich is developing Business Park North for new employers.
That concentration of defense work changes IT for local suppliers. Since November 10, 2025, Defense Department contracts can require Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, and machine shops, engineering firms and service contractors in Norwich, New London and Groton are being asked for evidence they protect controlled information. We help with the groundwork: an asset inventory, access controls, logging, backups and a system security plan that matches what is actually installed. Hospitality employers and professional offices get the same managed support without the defense paperwork. Our team supports the region from Hartford, with on-site visits scheduled for projects. What to work through.
Where southeastern Connecticut businesses usually start.
Help desk and device support
Employee support, Microsoft 365 administration and device setup for Norwich and New London offices, with request channels and response commitments written into your agreement.
Cybersecurity essentials
Endpoint protection, email threat protection, multifactor authentication, patch management and security awareness training, monitored around the clock.
Backup and disaster recovery
Workstation and data backup with restore tests, so an outage or ransomware event is a recovery rather than a rebuild.
Co-managed IT with your internal team
EVERNET fills the gaps alongside an internal IT person or team, with responsibilities for each side written down.
Technology planning (vCIO)
Business reviews, budgeting and vendor coordination so technology decisions are made with data rather than in a crisis.
Web, marketing and accessibility
The same team can take on your website, marketing program or an accessibility audit, scoped separately or together.

It is difficult to put into a review just how much we have valued this partnership. They have gone far beyond being a vendor to the Tarrant County Bar Association — they have become genuine supporters of our organization and the work we do. They have worked with us on everything from building our public-facing legal help website to guiding us through a complete rebranding and logo redesign. With every project, they take the time to understand our organization, our members, our mission, and what we are actually trying to accomplish rather than simply delivering a product. But what has impressed me most is how invested they have become in our success. They show up. They attend our events. They celebrate our wins. They bring us new ideas and look for ways they can help. When we work with them, it truly feels like we have another team in our corner. Our Bar Association is better because of this relationship, and I don't say that lightly. They have consistently gone above and beyond for us, and I am incredibly grateful for the creativity, responsiveness, enthusiasm, and genuine care they bring to everything they do. I cannot recommend them highly enough.Posted on Facebook![]()

EVERNET has played a pivotal role in our business growth. They have been a fantastic partner over the last year, doing everything from rebuilding our website to managing our IT difficulties to improving our internal processes. They took care of a lot of the headaches that come with small business ownership, which allowed me to focus on doing the work I love and getting more clients through the door. If your business needs help in marketing, IT, or security, I cannot recommend them enough.

Questions before you get started.
Do you provide on-site support in Norwich and New London?
Most day-to-day requests are handled remotely with monitoring running continuously. On-site visits are scheduled from Hartford when hands-on work is needed, and availability for your location is confirmed during scoping.
Can you help a defense supplier with cybersecurity requirements?
Yes, with preparation: a risk assessment, the controls and documentation your customer expects, and ongoing security services. Certification and audit sign-off are issued by accredited third parties, not by EVERNET.
How is managed IT priced?
A managed service agreement is a recurring monthly fee based on the users and devices covered. Block hours, hourly support and scoped projects are available for needs that are not ongoing. Current rates are on our pricing page.
Can you work with the vendors and software we already use?
Yes. EVERNET is vendor agnostic and coordinates with your existing software, phone and internet providers on your behalf.
What happens in the first 30 days?
We review your current setup, agree the systems covered and the request channels, document who handles what, and put monitoring, backup and the security basics in place before anything else changes.
