The Ellsley Law Firm: Environmental Campaign

Adapt a law-firm campaign to a guitar-shaped event placement and related print use.

The Ellsley Law Firm

Design approach

A legal message for an unusual format

The firm wanted to adapt an existing law-firm campaign to a guitar-shaped event placement, with related print uses. An unusual outline changes how much room a message has and where each element can sit. The brief on this page focused on keeping the attorney’s name and message readable inside that shape while working within the cut lines and sight lines of the event placement.

The artwork shows the earlier campaign art that served as the starting point. It is a wide piece with tropical palm fronds framing the edges, a bold blue condensed headline that reads “I am the Florida lawyer for you,” an orange call-to-action line and a portrait of the attorney on the right. Moving that layout into a guitar outline meant ranking the elements again, with the name and core message first and supporting copy after. Through client review, the copy was refined and redundant decorative material was removed so the shape itself could carry more of the message.

1. Prioritize the attorney name and message against an unusual outline.

2. Coordinate cut-line constraints and visibility with the event placement.

3. Refine the copy and remove redundant decorative material through client review.

Why it works
The attorney name and message are composed around an unusual outline, connecting visibility with the physical format.

This was an event campaign exploration: a guitar-shaped piece for the event placement plus related print applications. The same name, message and color cues run through each piece so they read as one campaign. Planning the cut lines early ties the artwork to the real object and to how people will see it at the event. The related print pieces then let the firm use the same message in other settings, such as flyers or ads, without starting the design over. Explore our graphic design services.
