EVERNET Consulting: Editorial System

Create a recognizable family of business-technology guides across nine different subject areas.

EVERNET Consulting

Design approach

Nine topics, one educational series

These guides are EVERNET in-house work: a family of business-technology guides covering nine different subjects. Without a shared system, nine guides on topics from VoIP to passwords would look like nine unrelated documents. The brief on this page called for a shared cover architecture, a contents system and running brand cues, with imagery and a topic accent that adapt within the common structure.

The artwork shows four covers from the series fanned out on a pale blue background. Each cover has the EVERNET logo at the top, a flat illustration in blue tones and a hand-lettered italic title, with topics such as security awareness training, choosing a VoIP package, backup planning and IT maintenance. Beneath each title, an “EVERNET Best Practices” label sits above a row of circular icons, with the current topic’s icon highlighted in red. That row works like a map of the whole series and ties each guide back to the same best-practices framework.

1. Use a shared cover architecture, contents system and running brand cues.

2. Adapt the imagery and topic accent within the common structure.

3. Connect the guides to a consistent best-practices framework rather than treating each as unrelated collateral.

Why it works
A shared cover structure, contents system and topic accents make a broad collection feel like one recognizable series.

The deliverable is a branded educational series of nine coordinated guides covering awareness, VoIP, backup, monitoring, patching, antivirus, privacy, maintenance and passwords. The shared cover structure and icon row make any single guide recognizable as part of the set, and the common contents system helps readers find their way inside each one. The structure lets a single guide stand on its own or sit within the full collection, with each new subject adding its own illustration and accent. Explore our graphic design services.
