McCoy & McCoy: Website
Replace a fragile custom theme with a website the firm’s staff can keep current.
Design approach
A legal website the team can maintain
The firm’s previous website was built on a fragile custom theme, and the staff needed a site they could keep current themselves. The brief was practical: replace the theme, keep the practice information organized and make routine updates something the team could handle.
The redesign shown here opens with a black-and-white image of courthouse columns, the firm name in a large serif and a red call to action. On interior pages, a deep red consultation form sits beside the firm introduction. Practice areas such as truck and motorcycle accident injuries follow one repeatable pattern: a photograph, a heading and a short summary. Because every practice page uses the same section structure, staff can add or edit content inside a familiar layout instead of building pages from scratch.
1. Organize practice information into repeatable page sections.
2. Present the firm with a clear hierarchy and professional imagery.
3. Make routine content changes manageable for the client team.

Why it works
Repeatable practice-area sections, professional imagery and clear hierarchy make routine content updates more manageable.
The redesign, the repeatable practice-area sections and the consultation form work as one system. The homepage introduces the firm and points visitors to its practice areas. Each practice page explains one type of case and ends at the same contact route. For the firm’s staff, the value is in the repetition: a new practice page or a revised summary fits into sections that already exist. If your firm’s website has become hard to update, see how we approach law firm marketing and websites.
