Tulane Energy Law & Policy Center: Website & Publishing
Organize the center’s articles and conversations within Tulane’s existing institutional web system.
Design approach
An editorial home for energy expertise
The Tulane Energy Law & Policy Center needed its articles and conversations organized within Tulane’s existing institutional web system. The center publishes in more than one format, including the Energy Sparks article series and the EnergyCast program, and each needed a proper home. The brief on this page was to separate featured material from the continuing archive, give Energy Sparks a real archive structure and connect EnergyCast episodes with the center’s wider research and publishing.
The artwork shows three pages in browser windows on a pale green background. Each keeps Tulane’s green institutional header and shield, and each opens on a wide photograph of wind turbines and an oil pumpjack on open grassland at dusk, with the page title set on a green band. The center’s main page splits into Featured and recent columns of article titles. The Energy Sparks page lists articles with short summaries and a column of outlined buttons for related pages. The EnergyCast page arranges episodes as cards with teal accents. Shared imagery and headers tie all three back to the center.
1. Separate featured material from the continuing archive.
2. Give Energy Sparks a genuine archive structure rather than repeating the landing page.
3. Connect EnergyCast episodes with the broader research and publishing ecosystem.

Why it works
Featured material and continuing archives give readers useful ways to explore the center’s research and conversations.
The deliverable covers center pages, an Energy Sparks article archive and EnergyCast pages built within Tulane’s institutional web system. The center page highlights selected work, the Sparks archive gives every article a lasting place readers can browse, and the EnergyCast pages present episodes alongside links to related research. Working inside the university’s system keeps the pages consistent with the rest of Tulane while giving the center its own clear structure for future articles and episodes.
