Understand device health
EVERNET monitors the health of the computers and servers we manage so problems can be noticed early, sometimes before anyone on your team reports them. A small agent on each covered device reports conditions such as low disk space, failing hardware, stopped services, missing updates, disabled security software and devices that have gone offline. Automated checks run 24/7/365, and meaningful alerts are routed into the same support process your team uses for any other request.
Who it suits
Monitoring is part of how we deliver managed IT for law firms, accounting practices, healthcare and biotech organizations, nonprofits and other businesses that depend on their workstations every day. It is especially useful for teams with remote or hybrid staff, where a technician cannot simply walk past a desk and notice something wrong.
How the service runs
We start by building an inventory of the devices to be covered and confirming who owns each one. Then we deploy the monitoring agent, apply a standard set of checks and adjust them for servers, shared workstations and special equipment.
The value comes from what happens after an alert. Each meaningful alert becomes a ticket with a priority, and a technician investigates the cause, resolves it remotely where possible or schedules follow-up with the user. We tune thresholds over time so repeated low-value alerts do not hide the ones that matter. Monitoring data also feeds patch management, warranty and replacement planning, and the periodic reviews we hold with you.
Your service agreement sets out staffed helpdesk hours, after-hours coverage and escalation routes, so you know how alerts are handled at any time of day.
What you provide and what you receive
You provide permission to install the agent, confirmation of covered devices and a contact for scheduling work. You receive continuous automated monitoring, alert triage by our team, a documented device inventory with health information, and recommendations when hardware is aging or a recurring problem needs a longer-term fix. What to work through.
A clear plan, from the first conversation to delivery.
Covered devices
List the workstations, laptops and servers to be monitored and confirm who uses or owns each one.
Signals
Choose which indicators require attention and what they should trigger.
Alert handling
Agree how alerts become tickets, who investigates them and when your team is contacted.
Questions before you get started.
What does monitoring tell us?
It provides observations from the systems and checks included in the service. The useful signals depend on the environment and the tool configuration. An alert may indicate a condition that needs investigation; it is not automatically a diagnosis of the cause.
Does automated monitoring mean someone is always available?
Automated monitoring runs 24/7/365. Staffed helpdesk hours, after-hours support and response commitments follow your service agreement. We explain both clearly so you know how to reach help and what coverage applies.
How do alerts turn into useful work?
Assign a review owner, priorities and escalation rules. Tune repeated low-value alerts and record the action taken on meaningful findings. The monitoring process should connect to support, maintenance and planning rather than exist as a separate dashboard nobody owns.
