Across Connecticut

Practical AI consulting from the team that runs your systems.

Connecticut businesses are being sold AI from every direction. EVERNET’s AI consulting starts from the other end: the report someone rebuilds every month, the inbox nobody owns, the document review that delays everything behind it. We help you decide what is worth adopting, deploy it with governance in place, and train the people who will use it, from our office in Hartford.

Assess and decide

AI readiness assessment, tool selection against the systems you already run, data preparation and a vCIO AI roadmap that sequences adoption against budget and risk. The assessment is a fixed-fee entry point that does not require a managed agreement.

Deploy safely

Assistant deployment and licensing, an acceptable-use policy, shadow-AI reporting and quarterly reviews, with data governance set in writing before deployment rather than assumed afterwards.

AI automation and agents

AI automation consulting for the workflows that cost your team the most hours, and agents that take action, built with identity, logging, defined human checkpoints, a rollback path and monthly exception review.

See the AI consulting service, the managed IT and cybersecurity pages that most AI work depends on, and pricing. Law firms can start from managed IT for law firms.

Doing business in Connecticut

Connecticut’s economy runs on documents and data: claims files, policy forms, contracts, research records and engineering drawings. The state ranks first in the nation for actuaries per capita, according to the Department of Economic and Community Development, a sign of how much of the work here is analysis that AI tools can speed up, or get wrong.

The rules changed in 2026. Amendments to the Connecticut Data Privacy Act that took effect July 1, 2026 extend the law to businesses that process the personal data of at least 35,000 consumers, or any sensitive data, and new impact assessment requirements started August 1, 2026. Before we connect an AI assistant to your mailboxes, file shares or CRM, we look at what personal and sensitive data it can reach, who can see the output, and what you would need to show if a customer or the Attorney General asked. Then we pilot one workflow, measure the result and decide with you whether to expand it. Read about AI security.

What to work through.

Where AI consulting engagements usually start for a small business.

Where the time goes

The recurring tasks, handoffs and reviews that cost a small business the most hours each month, and which are candidates for AI automation.

Data and permissions

Where your data lives, who may see it, and what the business restricts; agents inherit the access you give them.

Tools you already pay for

Microsoft 365 and the platforms in place often include AI capabilities that just need governance and training.

Policy and governance

Acceptable use, shadow-AI visibility and a review cadence written down before the first assistant is turned on.

Training

Adoption training for the people doing the work, not a demo for the leadership team.

Measurement

Hours returned, errors avoided and exceptions reviewed monthly, so the program is judged on outcomes.

It is difficult to put into a review just how much we have valued this partnership. They have gone far beyond being a vendor to the Tarrant County Bar Association — they have become genuine supporters of our organization and the work we do. They have worked with us on everything from building our public-facing legal help website to guiding us through a complete rebranding and logo redesign. With every project, they take the time to understand our organization, our members, our mission, and what we are actually trying to accomplish rather than simply delivering a product. But what has impressed me most is how invested they have become in our success. They show up. They attend our events. They celebrate our wins. They bring us new ideas and look for ways they can help. When we work with them, it truly feels like we have another team in our corner. Our Bar Association is better because of this relationship, and I don't say that lightly. They have consistently gone above and beyond for us, and I am incredibly grateful for the creativity, responsiveness, enthusiasm, and genuine care they bring to everything they do. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Paul has always been our go-to, for well over a decade. He is prompt and knowledgeable, and it's really nice having a dedicated person to go to, although we know there is a team at Evernet that we can lean on when needed.

EVERNET has played a pivotal role in our business growth. They have been a fantastic partner over the last year, doing everything from rebuilding our website to managing our IT difficulties to improving our internal processes. They took care of a lot of the headaches that come with small business ownership, which allowed me to focus on doing the work I love and getting more clients through the door. If your business needs help in marketing, IT, or security, I cannot recommend them enough.

Questions before you get started.

Do we need to be an EVERNET IT client for AI consulting?

No. The readiness assessment stands on its own and produces a plan you can act on independently.

What is out of scope?

Custom model training, line-of-business application development, third-party licensing fees and legal advice on regulation; those are quoted separately or excluded.

How do you keep agents from doing something wrong?

Agent work carries action logging, defined human checkpoints and a rollback path, with monthly exception review.

How is AI consulting priced for a small business?

AI labor is billed at the same rates as IT labor; readiness assessments are fixed fee, bundles are quoted, and projects use fixed project rates. Current rates are on the pricing page.

Can you help a regulated business adopt AI?

Yes. Governance, data handling and acceptable use are set first, and we flag where legal or compliance review is needed.
