Across Connecticut
A network someone is actually accountable for.
Most Connecticut businesses inherited their network: a firewall someone installed years ago, a switch under a desk, Wi-Fi that was fine when the office had half as many people. EVERNET takes ownership of the whole picture, from the internet circuit and firewall to switching, Wi-Fi, remote access and the segmentation that keeps guests, instruments and business systems apart.
Network support
Firewall, switch and wireless configuration and upkeep, remote access for hybrid staff, hosted phone (VoIP) readiness, ISP coordination and documentation of what is connected where. Covered under a managed agreement or as scoped project work.
Network security
Firewall rules and review, segmentation for guests, devices and sensitive systems, secure remote access with multifactor authentication, patching of network equipment and monitoring that alerts before an outage becomes a day off.
Moves, growth and new sites
New offices, expansions and second locations handled as scoped projects: circuit ordering, equipment selection, cutover planning and a documented handoff. Physical cabling and low-voltage work are coordinated with a specialist trade.
Network work usually sits inside a managed IT agreement alongside cybersecurity. See device health monitoring, vendor management and pricing, or the local pages for Hartford and Stamford and Fairfield County.
Doing business in Connecticut
Connecticut networks have to ride out New England weather. Tropical Storm Isaias cut power to hundreds of thousands of customers across the state in August 2020, and some offices waited days for service to come back. Shoreline firms also plan around coastal storms and flooding, and winter nor’easters test every remote access setup.
Many Connecticut companies also run more than one site: a main office in Hartford County with a branch in Fairfield County, or a manufacturer with a plant in one town and a sales office in another. We design the firewall, switching, Wi-Fi and site-to-site links as one network, add a second internet path and battery backup where an outage would stop work, and document it so anyone on your team can see what is connected where. Under Connecticut’s breach law an incident can mean notifying affected residents within 60 days, so we also keep the firewall and access logs that show what happened. See device health monitoring.
What to work through.
Where network conversations usually start.
Firewall and perimeter
Current firewall reviewed, rules documented, firmware patched, and a replacement plan when hardware reaches end of support.
Wi-Fi that covers the whole office
Access point placement, guest separation and capacity for the number of people and devices you actually have.
Segmentation
Separate networks for guests, printers, instruments, cameras and business systems so a problem in one area does not reach the others.
Remote and hybrid access
Secure access for staff working from home or on the road, with multifactor authentication and devices that meet the same standard as the office.
Monitoring and alerts
Equipment and circuits monitored continuously, with alerts routed to people who can act on them.
Documentation
A current diagram, inventory and credential record held in the client portal, so no one is guessing during an outage.

It is difficult to put into a review just how much we have valued this partnership. They have gone far beyond being a vendor to the Tarrant County Bar Association — they have become genuine supporters of our organization and the work we do. They have worked with us on everything from building our public-facing legal help website to guiding us through a complete rebranding and logo redesign. With every project, they take the time to understand our organization, our members, our mission, and what we are actually trying to accomplish rather than simply delivering a product. But what has impressed me most is how invested they have become in our success. They show up. They attend our events. They celebrate our wins. They bring us new ideas and look for ways they can help. When we work with them, it truly feels like we have another team in our corner. Our Bar Association is better because of this relationship, and I don't say that lightly. They have consistently gone above and beyond for us, and I am incredibly grateful for the creativity, responsiveness, enthusiasm, and genuine care they bring to everything they do. I cannot recommend them highly enough.Posted on Facebook![]()

EVERNET has played a pivotal role in our business growth. They have been a fantastic partner over the last year, doing everything from rebuilding our website to managing our IT difficulties to improving our internal processes. They took care of a lot of the headaches that come with small business ownership, which allowed me to focus on doing the work I love and getting more clients through the door. If your business needs help in marketing, IT, or security, I cannot recommend them enough.

Questions before you get started.
Can you support the firewall and switches we already own?
Usually, yes. EVERNET is vendor agnostic. We review what is installed, patch and document it, and recommend replacement only when equipment is unsupported or holding you back.
Do you run cable or install wiring?
Physical cabling and low-voltage work are coordinated with a specialist trade where required; EVERNET handles design, equipment and configuration.
Is network monitoring 24/7?
Automated device health and security monitoring runs continuously. Staffed support hours and escalation arrangements are defined in your service agreement.
Can you connect two Connecticut offices?
Yes. Site-to-site connectivity, consistent policies across locations and a single point of accountability are standard parts of a multi-site agreement.
How is network work priced?
Ongoing support is part of a managed agreement; projects such as new sites or replacements are scoped and quoted separately so you approve cost before work begins.
