AI for New York businesses
Start with the work, not the tool.
New York’s businesses stretch from Manhattan and the outer boroughs to Long Island’s suburbs, the Hudson Valley and the upstate cities of Albany, Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo, each with its own mix of professional firms, manufacturers, healthcare and higher education.
EVERNET helps New York businesses put AI to work on real tasks: drafting, summarizing, intake, scheduling, reporting and the repetitive steps between systems. The work starts with a readiness assessment of data, security and policy, then moves to a short pilot with a measurable outcome before anything is rolled out company-wide. Logging, human review and clear rules are built in from the start.
Readiness assessment
Where AI can help, what data and permissions are involved, and the policy and security conditions to set first.
Tools and rollout
Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or Claude for teams, selected and configured with training for staff.
Automation and agents
Workflow automation and agents with logging, human checkpoints and review, built around your existing systems.

Doing business in New York
New York is putting public money behind AI. Empire AI, the consortium the state launched with Columbia, Cornell, NYU, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, SUNY, CUNY and the Flatiron Institute, runs a shared computing center at the University at Buffalo. That brings research capacity and AI-trained graduates into every region, from Long Island to Western New York. For a midsize firm, the practical question is narrower: which tasks are worth automating, and which data the tools are allowed to touch.
Two New York rules shape that answer. The SHIELD Act (General Business Law §899-bb) requires any business holding New York residents’ private information to keep reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, and that duty covers AI tools that read your files and mailboxes. In New York City, Local Law 144 bars employers from using automated employment decision tools in hiring or promotion unless the tool has had a bias audit within the past year and candidates receive notice. We factor both into the readiness assessment before a pilot starts, and we pair any rollout with AI security controls such as permission reviews and logging.

It is difficult to put into a review just how much we have valued this partnership. They have gone far beyond being a vendor to the Tarrant County Bar Association — they have become genuine supporters of our organization and the work we do. They have worked with us on everything from building our public-facing legal help website to guiding us through a complete rebranding and logo redesign. With every project, they take the time to understand our organization, our members, our mission, and what we are actually trying to accomplish rather than simply delivering a product. But what has impressed me most is how invested they have become in our success. They show up. They attend our events. They celebrate our wins. They bring us new ideas and look for ways they can help. When we work with them, it truly feels like we have another team in our corner. Our Bar Association is better because of this relationship, and I don't say that lightly. They have consistently gone above and beyond for us, and I am incredibly grateful for the creativity, responsiveness, enthusiasm, and genuine care they bring to everything they do. I cannot recommend them highly enough.Posted on Facebook![]()

EVERNET has played a pivotal role in our business growth. They have been a fantastic partner over the last year, doing everything from rebuilding our website to managing our IT difficulties to improving our internal processes. They took care of a lot of the headaches that come with small business ownership, which allowed me to focus on doing the work I love and getting more clients through the door. If your business needs help in marketing, IT, or security, I cannot recommend them enough.
